Louisiana Bourbon Chicken

Bourbon chicken is a dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana and for the bourbon whiskey ingredient. We’re going to be grilling our BBQ chicken on a Marrinox Grill in skewers – you can always simply make them as chicken breasts and not chop.
2 pounds chicken, cut into one inch square bites, thighs preferably
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Green Bell Pepper
5 or 6 slices thick cut bacon, cut into one inch pieces
Finally, a Neutral oil such as avocado oil
This recipe makes 2 pounds or about 5 or 6 skewers
1.5 cups bbq sauce
1/3 cup bourbon
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons sriracha
1.5 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 tablespoon neutral oil
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon each Kosher salt & fresh ground pepper
Grilling Instructions for Your Marrinox BBQ Grill
· Start by thread alternating pieces of chicken peppers and bacon on to skewers. Next, combine all sauce ingredients in a large bowl and mix well to combine and set aside. Once you’ve prepped your chicken and combined your sauce, next, pre-heat your Marrinox Grill to medium high – as in leave it for about 10 minutes. Before you begin to grill, spray your Marrinox Grill with non-stick spray, lightly brush both sides of skewers and place on grill. Let cook on first side 2-3 minutes, or until good marks start to appear, then flip. Finally, Start basting the top, cooked side.
Tips For Grilling
You should grill your chicken by saucing, turning, saucing turning until gorgeous and done – check temperature regularly, do not go beyond 165 degrees. Check the USDA for more cooking guidelines.
